Physicians and Mid-Levels aspiring to practice Functional Medicine, here’s your opportunity!!
We are looking to hire one or more providers over the next few months to support our explosive growth of patient inquiries.
IFM certification not necessary, and WE ARE WILLING TO TRAIN YOU. So if you’re trying to get your foot in the door of functional medicine, this could be a great opportunity for you.
We exist to provide Christ-centered healthcare where people feel heard and where their hope to live and to fulfill their God-given purposes are restored.
Our mission at Whole Health Houston is to create community with patients, and between patients, who value optimal health and alternatives to conventional medicine. We relentlessly pursue answers for each patient’s health challenges while guiding them toward complete healing of body, mind, and spirit.
- Problem Solving, and
Who We Treat
Dr. Valeska Wells is the medical director of this thriving practice. Her schedule is routinely booked out 10 to 12 weeks. Dr. Wells is board-certified in Family Medicine and Integrative and Holistic Medicine. She sees patients of all ages, and for everything from well-checks and hormone therapy to chronic disease, persistent viral infections (Lyme, EBV, etc), and cancer. There are very few conditions that we won’t work with.
We do not participate in insurance, and Dr. Wells is opted-out of Medicare/Medicaid. Patients pay our cash prices at time of service.
Our Resources and Tools
Our amazing staff is our greatest resource. Everyone is genuinely vested in helping people become well. We have a large infusion suite, with perhaps the largest selection of IV therapies in the region. Therapies include basic nutritional support, high dose vitamin C, chelation, ozone (MAHT and multi-pass), SOT, ATA, and others.
Dr Wells performs Prolozone therapies and stem cell therapies, too. Being an osteopath, Dr. Wells performs OMM on patients as needed. We perform a number of insufflations and instillations for the bladder, ears, nose, rectum, etc using ozone and/or other substances such as colloidal silver. We have a staff health coach that assists with nutritional and lifestyle support for all of our patients. We have an in-house and online store for selling physician-grade supplements and related products. Blood draws are done in-house and sent to the appropriate lab for processing.
The Ideal Candidate
A strong belief in functional/integrative medicine, and a willingness to be a team player are of paramount importance. Seasoned practitioners and rookies are welcome to apply. Dr. Wells will train you in her methods. Indeed, any new provider will sit in every new patient visit with Dr. Wells for the first several weeks to become familiar with her methods and approach.
The incoming provider will have a range of responsibilities which may include:
- independent consults with new patients,
- managing follow-up for some of Dr Wells’ patients,
- acute care visits (quick evals of general medical complaints, etc),
- select procedures and therapies, such as prolozone, stem cells, and others, and
- research & initiate new procedures and protocols for our practice.
The incoming provider should have a great work ethic with an excellent ability to work autonomously.
We believe in having very candid discussions with candidates regarding salary based on their experience and their expectations, and so we will leave the details to those discussions.
Benefits of Working with Whole Health
Our primary benefit is in giving you a relatively stress-free, low pressure work environment among a group of staff that we really do consider as family. We give price concessions for employees and their families for medical care at our clinic (free consultations for staff, at-cost products and services, etc). If you come on full time, you would receive at least 3 weeks of PTO each year, in addition to approx 7 company-sanctioned paid holidays. Because we are a small company that is focused on preventative medicine, we do not offer health insurance, nor do we have any retirement plans. Dr. Wells does not carry malpractice insurance.
If our mission and vision resonate with you and you have a passion for seeing people break free from the strongholds of infirmity and live more to their God-given potential then we should talk.« Back
