Practitioner for Functional Medicine (Nurse Practitioner, MD or DO)

The Healing Collective is seeking a provider to begin working part time in our functional and integrative medicine practice in Niwot, CO. Niwot is in Boulder County, about 10 miles north of the City of Boulder.
The position can grow into full time. It is starting out as a contract position, but there is opportunity to become an employee over time.
The functional medicine provider role is a blend of in person appointments and telehealth so working from home and from the office are both available. Many patients are now preferring in-person appointments once again so 2 days a week in office and 1 day at home is a good starting place.
Prescription writing authority, DEA license, training and experience practicing functional medicine are all necessary. PA’s are welcome to apply as well, as long as you are able to practice independently w/o a supervising physician; or if you have your own supervising physician already established.
The ideal candidate will enjoy a team oriented approach, working in collaboration with other practitioners and with the patients. We’re seeking a person who is caring, friendly & easy to get along with, passionate about supporting our patients and who enjoys the commitment, dedication and drive that functional medicine treatment can require. We also prefer someone who is committed to their own inner and outer wellness- physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Primary conditions seen and treated: menopause, hormonal imbalances, hypothyroidism, Hashimotos thyroiditis, autoimmune disorders, toxicity/detoxing, GI disorders- infections, dysbiosis, food intolerances, SIBO, candida, etc; mold/biotoxin illness, Lyme and other infections tested but typically referred out for direct treatment but we support the secondary issues, neurotransmitter imbalances/depression/anxiety/insomnia, adrenal insufficiency/fatigue, toxic burden/detoxification. ENCORE program- ENabling COgnitive REpair- treating/preventing cognitive decline/Alzheimers based on the Bredeson Protocol /ReCODE Program.
We also highly value lifestyle medicine- encouraging patients to make healthy changes to diet, physical activity, mindset, emotional needs and nervous system. We emphasize this approach with each patient and are cognizant not to simply rely on tests and supplements as the only treatment. There is close collaboration between our team. We find that patients who utilize most of the services we provide- nutrition coaching, Frequency Specific Microcurrent w/ our PTs, and functional medicine, have the best outcomes and get there quicker! So continuing to function as a team and addressing our patients holistically is a big value.
The practice currently consists of a FNP who is the owner of the practice, 2 Physical Therapist who offer traditional PT, pelvic floor PT and utilize Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) Therapy; a Nutrition/Gut Coach, a Medical Assistant and Office Coordinator. We will also be offering Ozone and IV therapy soon.
The salary range depends on the time spent with patients. Each hour of direct patient time (during an appt.) earns $150. There are also supplement earnings from Fullscript prescriptions. We expect this position to build up to 10-20 direct patient hours a week.
There are no benefits such as health insurance, sick/vacation pay since this is a contract position. If the position evolves into a full time employee then benefits will be available.
