California Licensed Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for 2 days of In Person Work a week
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant to join our team for 2 days of IN PERSON clinical work a week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in functional medicine, primary care, women’s health especially in the peri menopause/menopause space and a passion for helping patients achieve optimal health, and a commitment to staying current with the latest research and advancements in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, lifestyle factors, and physical examinations
- Develop personalized treatment plans that address the root causes of illness and promote overall wellness
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic approach to patient care
- Be able to provide primary care and be familiar with BHRT
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in functional medicine
- Educate patients on the importance of nutrition, exercise, and other lifestyle factors in maintaining optimal health
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Requirements:
- Must be a prescribing Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensed in California
- Board Certification in Functional Medicine or eligible
- Strong knowledge of functional medicine principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with integrative or holistic medicine
- Familiarity with various functional medicine testing methods
- Strong background in nutrition and lifestyle counseling
- Be able to use technology well
