Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Medical Degree required: MD, DO, ND, or NP from a top, accredited program
  • Certifications: Additional certification / training in Integrative / Functional Medicine (i.e. IFM certification or similar)
  • Licensing: Current license to practice in the state of CA, in good standing
  • Clinical Experience:
    For Integrative / Functional Medical Doctors, Doctors of Osteopathy and Nurse Practitioners:
    4+ years of clinical experience including at least 2 years focused on integrative/functional medicine
    Recent functional medicine certification from IFM or comparable
    For Naturopathic Doctors:
    4+ years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years focused on complex chronic illness

Preferred Expertise & Expectations

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Exceptional patient care skills with a proven track record of building long-term, therapeutic patient relationships
  • Development and management of ongoing care plans to ensure continuity and consistency in patient care.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in clinical operations, systems development, and team management
  • Commitment to in-person clinical practice and active participation in daily clinic activities
  • Desire to mentor, manage, and support clinical and administrative staff in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • 4+ years clinical expertise, an exceptional skillset, and a proven track record for treating complex chronic illnesses, including: Chronic Lyme complex, ME/CFS, Long COVID, Autoimmune and immune dysregulation, Endocrine and GI disorders, Environmental toxicity (mycotoxins, heavy metals), Neuro-inflammatory conditions (MCAS, POTS, PANS/PANDAS, MS, etc.)
  • Strong clinical acumen and certification in functional medicine (IFM or comparable)
  • Passion for innovation, including psychedelic-assisted therapy (experience a plus)
  • Excellent emotional intelligence, empathy, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset with a drive to grow the clinic’s patient pipeline, services, and clinical reputation
  • Interest in playing an active role in shaping SFPMG’s long-term strategy, culture, and growth trajectory
