Nurse Practitioner Functional or Integrative Medicine
Alzheimer’s Treatment Centers of America is opening a Port St. Lucie, FL clinic in June, an Atlanta, GA clinic in September, a Naples, FL clinic in November and a Palm Beach, FL clinic in January of 2025. ATCA expects to have over 100 clinics in the next 4 years. Florida will have the most locations.
Our protocol gathers more data on each patient than any other practice. This data is then fed into the AI supercomputer to execute correlations and algorithms that give suggested recommendations for the next six months personalized treatment program for each patient. Functional or Integrative medicine is key to addressing the root causes identified.
All final medical decisions are made by you as the NP would be fed back into the AI system to improve future suggestions. Your input would continue to shape the entire approach to the treatments for AD.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing, to formulate individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize functional medicine principles to identify underlying imbalances and dysfunctions in the body’s systems.
- Collaborate with patients to develop personalized treatment strategies focused on nutrition, lifestyle modifications, supplementation, and stress management techniques.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures as needed to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions within the scope of practice, emphasizing natural and integrative approaches whenever possible.
- Provide patient education on functional medicine principles, empowering individuals to take an active role in their health and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and correspondence with other providers.
- Stay current with advancements in functional medicine research and practices through continuing education and professional development activities.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Florida.
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate specialty area (Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on functional medicine.
- Strong knowledge of functional medicine principles, including understanding of biochemical individuality, genetic predispositions, and environmental influences on health.
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive patient assessments and developing evidence-based treatment plans.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate and empower patients to make informed decisions about their health.
- Collaborative mindset with a demonstrated ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of emerging trends and research in functional medicine.
