Position Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience in both pediatric and adult family medicine to join our team. This role is ideal for an NP or PA who enjoys caring for patients across the lifespan and is passionate about integrative, functional, and lifestyle-based care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive functional medicine evaluations for pediatric and adult patients
Assess complex medical histories and identify root causes of illness
Order and interpret labs and diagnostics
Create individualized treatment plans incorporating nutrition, lifestyle, supplements, and medications when appropriate
Educate patients and families with clear, compassionate guidance
Document visits accurately in the EMR
Collaborate closely with physician and office staff
Qualifications
Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant NJ license in good standing
Experience in pediatric and adult/family medicine
Functional Medicine training or certification (IFM, AFMCP, Kresser Institute or similar preferred)
Strong interest in integrative and root-cause medicine
Excellent communication skills and bedside manner with both children and adults
Comfortable managing longer visits and complex cases
Schedule & Compensation
Part-time position with flexible scheduling, no weekends or calls
Mostly in -person visits though there is some telemedicine and admin time (charting, call backs, etc) that can be performed remotely if needed
Competitive compensation based on experience
