JOB SUMMARY
As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a dual role in delivering exceptional clinical care while supporting and optimizing daily operations within our medical center. You will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care rooted in the principles of integrative and functional medicine, including managing acute care visits, interpreting specialty lab results, administering IV therapies, and performing procedures such as blood draws. You will also oversee clinical workflows and ensure a seamless patient experience from intake to follow-up.
In addition to clinical care, you will contribute to practice operations by supporting patient messaging, care coordination, and the integration of advanced diagnostics and therapeutic protocols. Your role will be instrumental in maintaining clinical excellence, enhancing care team collaboration, and aligning day-to-day operations with our mission to reverse and prevent chronic disease.
You will report directly to the Lead Physician offering strategic input to elevate the standard of care and enhance member satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide same-day and scheduled acute care visits for established patients. Conduct focused assessments, diagnostics, and treatment planning for acute medical issues.
- Support care continuity by collaborating with the patient’s Love Life physician and care team
Provide patient education, resources, and clinical documentation in alignment with functional medicine practices - Triage and respond to patient portal messages in collaboration with the physician and support staff
- Refill prescriptions and ensure seamless coordination between providers and pharmacies
- Perform advanced IV therapy, including vitamin infusions, hydration therapy, and other functional medicine protocols
- Perform blood draws, specialty lab collections, and assist with lab interpretation when appropriate
- Assistance with patient onboarding, obtaining medical records, and patient relations
Operations Management:
- Implement workflows and supporting technologies.
- Support the delivery of consistent performance and practice standards to ensure superior outcomes and unparalleled patient experience.
- Support the Lead Physician and Senior Leadership in providing ongoing in-service programs to facility medical staff regarding clinical resource management, appropriate documents standards, utilization and quality issues, and quality improvement activities.
- Ensures on-call program is executed timely, after hour calls charted with appropriate follow-up.
- Ensures processes and workflows deliver smooth patient flow, timely care, and outstanding customer service for patients.
Administrative responsibilities:
- Updates policies and procedures including but not limited to medical care management, patient flow, and safety workflows.
- Manages relationships with external vendors and escalates as needed.
- Effectively works with physician, onsite experts, and patients in a cooperative and collaborative manner to improve clinic quality outcomes.
- Manage medical records and confidential documents in EMR accordingly.
OTHER DUTIES
Assimilate into The Love.Life culture through understanding, supporting, and participating in all elements of company core values and tenets. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Love.Life from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Attendance standard for salaried exempt team members is dedicating adequate time to fulfill the duties outlined in this job description equal to, or more than 40 hours per workweek.
Due to the cyclical nature of the industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the needs of the business.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
This Nurse Practitioner must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to demonstrate they can perform the essential functions of the job, along with the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Knowledgeable of KPIs and able to monitor systems for the capture of data for providers, patients, and future sales team, and management reporting.
- Deep understanding of technologies and tools to support care team, patient and management reporting, and insurance billing.
- Managing multi-disciplinary team.
- Optimizing scheduling in medical office environment.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and national certification (FNP, ANP, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in integrative and/or functional medicine required
- Proficiency in clinical skills including physical assessment, blood draws, IV administration, and lab interpretation
- Collaborative, patient-centered approach with a commitment to evidence-based care
- Comfortable in a dynamic environment with evolving workflows and innovation in care delivery
- Experience with Athena EMR preferred
