Physician Assistant | Nurse Practitioner—Functional & Integrative Medicine
Internal Medicine, Integrative & Functional Medicine Board Certified
October 2023 | Part Time: 2-3 days/week Full-time 4-5 days / week
Seeking a compassionate, caring certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our practice and offer their expertise and nurturing care to our existing patients.
We offer a healthy alternative to those actively looking at their health in natural ways, wanting to identify and heal the underlying imbalances in their lives that lead to chronic health problems. Our practice treats patients with autoimmune disorders, adrenal dysfunction, gut issues, hormones, Lyme and co-infections, mold exposure, environmental toxin exposures, etc.
This patient-centered functional approach emphasizes the overall body, mind and spirit connection with practices including diet and nutrition counseling, stress reduction, eliminating allergens, evaluating environment toxins, exercise programs, acupuncture and mediation techniques. We passionately pursue a practice of appropriate intervention and treatment as well as preventative medicine. We support our patients to maintain a healthy lifestyle and attitude and encourage our patients and staff to take personal responsibility in their own health and lives.
We believe in looking at the underlying causes of the symptoms patients are concerned with, exploring why such situation exists in their life and what this particular situation is there to teach them. This requires time and with our extended appointments our focus is to deeply listen and hear what they are saying. In appreciation of the close connection between our mind, body and emotions, we encourage our patients to express their feelings and give a voice to the part of themselves that is manifesting symptoms. We offer encouragement as loving attention is applied to the places the patient desires to heal, knowing that the body has an innate ability to bring itself back into balance. Healing can become a process of awakening to a deeper self. When this happens, we are on a spiritual path.
Our ideal vision is that you partner with the Doctor in serving our patients, that you are sensitive and compassionate by nature and responsive to the patients’ needs. Experience with the field of integrative & functional medicine is essential, as it is the foundation of how we practice medicine.
