Functional Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Join our growing practice at Integrative Medicine of Arizona in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. We have been providing premier Integrative and Functional Medicine in the Phoenix and Scottdale area since 2016. We provide both Concierge and Consult medical care. We are also one of few medical practices in Arizona who offer the Dale Bredesen Reversing Cognitive Decline Program. This highly sought after program, called ReCODE, addresses the root causes of cognitive impairment and early Alzheimer’s Disease by identifying and targeting the underlying contributors. Our physician, Dr. Dersam, is one of the top providers of the ReCODE Program in the U.S. Because of a growing need and high volume of patients seeking her care, it is time to expand our program. We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to lead this program with Dr. Dersam. The ideal candidate will be certified in Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine in addition to the certifications of a qualified and licensed P.A. or N.P. Experience providing care in a Functional Medicine setting is a valued plus. Once hired, you will be required to become certified in the ReCODE 2.0 training to ensure you understand and are proficient to administer the program.
Additional Duties:

- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Work well with a fun, family-oriented team
- Perform health exams and assessments based on IFM functional medicine and medical standard of care
- Order and interpret appropriate lab tests to find root causes of a patient’s health difficulties
- Diagnose and treat patient conditions with emphasis on lifestyle modifications
- Prescribe supplements and medical treatments and provide comprehensive guidance
- Be willing to learn and incorporate new protocols and technology into current practices
- Maintain organized and up to date records for each patient adhering to HIPAA rules
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team for well-balanced patient health, this includes a Dietitian, Health Coach and Acupuncturist
- Communicate in a friendly and respectful manner with patients, staff and outside practitioners
- Keep up to date with integrative, functional and standard medical knowledge through ongoing education
- Advise on the benefits of alternative medical services and devices and be willing to research and report to patients – i.e. hyperbaric oxygen therapy, grounding mats, red and infrared light therapy and exercise with oxygen to name just a few
- Represent Integrative Medicine of Arizona with prestige and honesty in local organizations and in the public arena
- Be courageous with new ideas for the promotion of cognitive health and generalized wellness in our community
- Arizona state licensing required
Hours:
This position will start with 2 days per week 8:30am to 4:30pm. As the program grows, the position hours will increase. The more motivated you are, the faster the position will grow.
Pay:
$90/hour
