Seeking a Part -Time or Full-Time Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, for a successful and well-established Integrative/Functional Medicine Primary Care clinic in epic mountain biking, climbing and ski country!

Must-Have Qualifications:

* Unrestricted license

* Functional medicine education and training (at minimum 30 hours of verified functional medicine CME)

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience in leading shared medical visits/group education

* Possess the desire and willingness to grow an FM /Primary Care/ Integrative Medicine practice and participate in team CE/CME

* Ability and desire to work autonomously but enjoy working as a team

* Caring, motivated, teachable, and possessing a positive and humble and teachable attitude.

Benefits:

* PT  or FT (tending towards 10 hour shifts with 8 hours patient contact time and 1.5-2 hours admin time but willing to adjust/flex for right person)

* 1099 Position

*Competitive salary on par with other local NP /PA primary care positions in Bend, Oregon with option for higher rate if not taking benefits.

Responsibilities:

* Be comfortable and willing to order, interpret and managing functional lab testing (GI Effects/GI Map, DUTCH, OAT, Toxins, Mold, Adrenal , Nutreval etc) as well as advanced in-depth primary care/internal medicine conventional lab testing (e.g. comprehensive stool testing, hormonal testing, nutrient, and metabolic testing, food sensitivity testing, autoimmune panels, mast cell activation panels, infectious disease panels, advanced cardiometabolic and lipid panels, advanced endocrine panels, advanced neurological testing, etc.).

*Be comfortable managing and prescribing and starting transgender hormone care

*Be comfortable managing and prescribing and starting bio-identical hormones for menopausal care and men’s health

*Integrative/Functional and conventional experience in managing and treating women’s health, men’s health, mental health, pediatrics, autoimmune disorders, POTS, thyroid disorders, IBD, MCAS, EBV, and all standard primary care problems.

* Be comfortable prescribing and managing therapeutic supplements, hormones, and medications relevant to a functional, integrative and primary care medicine practice.

* Be comfortable managing patients in a team setting.

* Be willing to constantly learn and expand both your primary care and functional/integrative medical training

*Able and willing to take initiative with group/shared medical visit curriculum and patient handouts

*Willing to participate in occasional patient outreach, patient educational blogs, and community education.

Requirements:

* 2+ years clinical experience in Primary Care or Internal Medicine with formal training in functional medicine (NO new grads for this position–sorry!)

* Efficiency is essential, with strong documentation skills

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; self-directed, able to work independently, enthusiastic, and flexible

*Willingness to lead shared medical visits occasionally along with a health coach/nutritionist
