Part-Time Acupuncturist
Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Part-Time Acupuncturist to join our growing integrative health and medicine team in Neptune, New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity to become a member of our expanding network. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will provide acupuncture services to a variety of clients, focusing on a whole-person, evidence-informed approach to achieve optimal health and healing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate, determine, and provide an appropriate acupuncture treatment plan for each client. Collaborate with other health care professionals as required.
- Document all services provided with goals for each treatment and ensure documentation meets professional standards. Share treatment information with other treating providers as required.
- Develop and present educational materials that support and expand on acupuncture therapies and traditional oriental medicine approaches to healing.
- Develop and present workshops, classes, and ongoing programs that target health/wellness topics to be offered to clients and team members.
- Participate in the identification and implementation of research to further elucidate current therapeutic approaches. Generate ideas for possible research in the area of mind-body therapy.
- Demonstrate understanding of their role in developing and maintaining an environment that is safe for clients and team members.
- Report environmental risks or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
Interact with practice and provider staff in a timely and professional manner. - Adhere to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:Â
- Master’s Degree.
- New Jersey Licensed Acupuncturist.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Acupuncturist.
- Formal training in acupuncture and completion of a professional educational program in a clinical health care specialty.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Required 20 hrs per week, typically Mondays and Tuesday , with occasional Saturdays when needed.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of holistic healthcare and integrative medicine.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

COMPENSATION:
Minimum Starting Base Salary: $53,164.80
