IFM Scholarship Opportunities

The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) provides three scholarship opportunities to expand access to functional medicine training.

Application windows for the 2024 Founders’ Scholarship and Debbie Sanstad Memorial Scholarship have closed. Stay tuned for the 2025 opening.

Offered to One Receipt Annually:

The IFM Founders’ Scholarship covers the registration cost of all uncompleted IFM certification education courses. In addition, the recipient will receive a complimentary registration to IFM’s Annual International Conference (AIC) and $1,000 USD travel reimbursement to AIC (during the year the scholarship is awarded).

The Debbie Sanstad Scholarship covers the registration cost of all uncompleted IFM Certification Pathway programs (AFMCP and 6 APMs), IFMCP Review Course Fee, Annual International Conference (the year the scholarship is awarded) , and the IFMCP Application Fee. This scholarship is intended for clinicians living/practicing outside of the United States who are at the beginning of the IFM Certification Pathway.

Offered to Multiple Receiptiants Annually (15 in 2023):

The Functional Medicine for All Scholarship is intended for clinicians who are beginning their certification journey and who are currently working with medically underserved communities in the United States or internationally. This scholarship covers the cost of the upcoming Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) and offers virtual facilitated sessions with functional medicine professionals to enhance program learnings .

Integrated Connections also offers free passes to AFMCP and APM conferences for clinicians working with an underserved community. These cover the registration cost of a single AFMCP or APM. Please complete THIS FORM to tell us more about you and the work you do with an underserved community. Our free pass covers the registration fee and does not cover the CME cost.
