Functional/Integrative Provider – Fertility & Hormone Clinic
About RENEW
RENEW is a modern health practice in Westlake Village focused primarily on women’s hormone optimization, fertility, perimenopause, and whole person health. We also care for men seeking hormone and metabolic optimization, though women will represent the majority of this provider’s patient volume.
Many of the patients who come to us have spent years feeling unheard. They have been told everything looks normal despite persistent symptoms, received fragmented care, or been offered medication or treatment without a broader conversation about what may be driving how they feel.
We are here to do this differently and make patients feel seen, heard, and supported.
Our prescribing provider is a critical part of that experience and can be an MD/DO, ND, or PA/NP with supervision. You must have some functional medicine training &/or experience with a preference for expertise in hormones and metabolic health.
This role is for a provider who wants to practice thoughtful, relationship based medicine and understands that excellent care includes both appropriate medical treatment and a deeper exploration of nutrition, lifestyle, supplementation, and the interconnected systems influencing a patient’s health. The provider will scale their hours with patient volume with the goal being full time within a few months.
You will work in close partnership with RENEW’s functional nutrition practitioner, who serves as an important ongoing touchpoint throughout much of the patient’s care. You will own the medical and prescribing components of the treatment plan while collaborating closely on the patient’s overall strategy.
The Kind of Provider Who Will Thrive Here
You are curious, compassionate, and genuinely love people.
You listen before prescribing or assuming. You take symptoms seriously without over medicalizing every problem. You understand that the body functions as a group of interconnected systems rather than a collection of unrelated parts.
You are comfortable saying, “There is a medical intervention that can help here,” as well as, “This may be best addressed through nutrition, lifestyle, and functional support.” Often, the answer includes both.
You value collaboration rather than hierarchy. You enjoy thinking through complex cases and asking why something may be happening rather than simply treating an isolated symptom.
Most importantly, you want patients to leave their interactions with you feeling that someone finally listened, thought deeply about their case, and created a plan specifically for them.
Who We Are Looking For
Experience or training through IFM, A4M, functional or integrative medicine, hormone optimization, women’s health, or reproductive health is highly valued.
We are also open to an exceptional clinician who has a strong functional foundation and wants to deepen their expertise in hormones, fertility, and reproductive health.
You do not need to arrive knowing every RENEW protocol. Clinical curiosity, excellent judgment, warmth, communication skills, and alignment with our approach to patient care matter tremendously. We will provide training and continuing education support in our clinical model.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive consultations focused on hormone optimization, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, thyroid health, metabolic health, fertility optimization, and other services within RENEW’s clinical model.
- Order appropriate laboratory testing and interpret findings in clinical context, integrating conventional reference ranges with the patient’s symptoms, history, goals, and RENEW’s evidence informed functional framework.
- Prescribe and manage therapies as clinically appropriate and within the provider’s scope of practice and RENEW’s clinical protocols. Depending on the patient’s needs, this may include bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, thyroid medication, GLP 1 medications, progesterone and other reproductive health therapies, and additional appropriate treatments.
- Provide ongoing follow up care and adjust treatment plans based on laboratory findings, symptoms, goals, and patient response.
- Collaborate closely with RENEW’s functional nutrition practitioner regarding nutrition, supplementation, lifestyle, and other nonmedical interventions rather than treating these as disconnected pieces of care.
- Coordinate care with outside reproductive endocrinologists, OB GYNs, and other specialists when patients are pursuing IUI, IVF, or other fertility treatment.
- Help shape and refine RENEW’s clinical protocols, workflows, and patient experience as an early member of the clinical team.
- Document thoroughly and compliantly in the EHR.
- Uphold RENEW’s clinical and brand standards. Our communication with patients is validating, direct, thoughtful, and hopeful, never dismissive.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted California license in good standing.
- Appropriate scope of practice and prescribing authority for the services provided within the role (supervising physician provided if necessary).
- Experience with functional or integrative medicine, hormone replacement therapy, women’s health, fertility, reproductive medicine, metabolic health, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- IFM, A4M, or similar functional or integrative medicine education is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex laboratory and hormone information into language patients can understand.
- Comfortable practicing in a cash pay environment.
- Comfortable using EHR and telehealth technology.
- Strong clinical judgment paired with intellectual curiosity and a collaborative approach to care.

- A collaborative model designed to give providers the time and support to practice thoughtful, relationship based medicine.
