The Opportunity:
We are seeking a compassionate, clinically strong Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide personalized functional and longevity medicine care and wants to be part of a team.
You will conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, interpret laboratory findings, identify the primary drivers affecting a patient’s health, and develop clear, practical treatment plans.
Treatment plans may incorporate medications, hormone therapy, peptides, supplements, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, additional testing, health coaching, and other services available through Med Matrix.
This role is best suited for a provider who enjoys investigating complex cases, connecting symptoms with laboratory findings and patient history, educating patients, and continuously expanding their clinical knowledge.
For providers who demonstrate exceptional clinical performance, leadership ability, and alignment with the Med Matrix culture, this position may also create a path toward helping lead and hold equity in future clinic locations.
Primary Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive new patient consultations and follow up appointments
• Review medical history, symptoms, medications, lifestyle factors, laboratory results, and patient goals
• Interpret laboratory testing through a functional, hormonal, metabolic, and longevity focused lens

• Prescribe and manage therapies within your professional scope of practice
• Independently manage female and male hormone replacement therapy when qualified
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on symptoms, laboratory findings, tolerance, and outcomes
• Clearly explain clinical findings, treatment recommendations, risks, benefits, and next steps
• Collaborate with Provider Assistants, nurses, medical assistants, health coaches, and other members of the care team
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation
• Follow established clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and standards of care
• Participate in case reviews, grand rounds, continuing education, and provider development
• Contribute to patient education, community events, educational content, and other appropriate practice growth initiatives
• Help improve clinical systems, protocols, and the overall patient experience
• Demonstrate the leadership, accountability, and ownership mindset required to potentially support future clinic expansion
Qualifications
• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the United States
• Ability to obtain licensure in Maine if not currently licensed in the state
• Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence informed, patient centered care
• Excellent communication, education, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation
• Willingness to receive feedback, follow clinical standards, and participate in ongoing training
Preferred Experience
We are especially interested in candidates with experience in several of the following areas:
• Functional, integrative, metabolic, or longevity medicine
• Female and male hormone replacement therapy
• Peptide therapy, including therapies such as BPC 157, thymosin beta 4, and tesamorelin
• GLP 1 medications and metabolic health management
• Thyroid optimization
• Advanced cardiovascular testing, including ApoB, lipoprotein(a), insulin resistance, and inflammatory markers
• Nutrient deficiencies and iron or ferritin patterns
• Gastrointestinal testing, organic acids testing, mold or mycotoxin testing, and environmental toxin assessment
• Continuous glucose monitoring
• Biological age, genetics, or other longevity focused testing
• Regenerative medicine
• A4M, IFM, SSRP, or comparable functional or integrative medicine education
Formal functional medicine certification is valued but not required when a candidate demonstrates strong clinical reasoning, relevant experience, humility, and a willingness to learn.
