Key Qualifications:
- Education: Medical Degree required: MD, DO, ND, or NP from a top, accredited program
- Certifications: Additional certification / training in Integrative / Functional Medicine (i.e. IFM certification or similar)
- Licensing: Current license to practice in the state of CA, in good standing
- Clinical Experience:
For Integrative / Functional Medical Doctors, Doctors of Osteopathy and Nurse Practitioners:
4+ years of clinical experience including at least 2 years focused on integrative/functional medicine
Recent functional medicine certification from IFM or comparable
For Naturopathic Doctors:
4+ years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years focused on complex chronic illness
Preferred Expertise
We are looking for candidates with:
- Proven clinical acumen and holistic health, integrative / functional / regenerative medicine experience, ideally with certification through IFM (NDs excluded) or similar
- Excited to work at the forefront of cutting-edge treatments and psychedelic-assisted therapy for the treatment of complex chronic illness (CCI) and its implications for mental and emotional wellbeing.
- Ideally some experience or passion for treating CCIs, such as:
chronic and post-infectious conditions. Chronic Lyme complex, ME/CFS, Long sCOVID, etc.
immune dysregulations and autoimmune conditions endocrine and gastrointestinal disorders
environmental / biotoxin illness: mycotoxin and heavy metal toxicities neuro-inflammatory conditions: MCAS, PANS/ PANDAS, POTS, MS, etc. - Active presence in the integrative/functional medicine space and a desire to grow both professionally and within the clinic
- Exceptional emotional intelligence, empathy, and interpersonal skills when engaging with patients and team members
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (additional languages a plus)
- A self-starter mindset, motivated to grow the clinic’s patient pipeline and help shape its innovative offerings
- Interest in leadership and co-creating the next generation of integrative healthcare in the Bay Area
