Are you an Integrative MD or DO who pushes the pause button when you think of the startup costs of owning your own medical practice? Consider this unique practice opportunity in an outpatient Integrative Medicine practice that is created by retirement of the owner due to health reasons. We recognize the ongoing need for an Integrative Medicine option for our patients seeking healthcare. We enthusiastically support Integrative Medicine and its practitioners and aim for pricing that is fair for buyer and seller.
With a deep tap root from its founding 40 years ago, this practice has had two owners and operated four days/week. In-house services include a full menu of IV therapies, Neural therapy, Infraspinatus Respiratory Reflex (IRR) injections, Heidelberg Gastric Analysis, Sublingual Immunotherapy (SLIT), Biofeedback/Cranial Electro-Stimulation, breast thermography, PEMF, IonCleanse™ footbaths, hormone balancing, nutritional assessment and therapies, utilization of several specialty laboratories and at-home sleep apnea testing with sleep medicine specialist interpretation and quick turn-around and prescribing of durable medical equipment.
This cash-based, equipped and staffed practice is sole occupant of a leased building. It had 731 new patients in 18 months with 2.5 full time equivalent physicians (four day work week) spanning 2017/2018. No evenings, weekends or hospital call. Comprehensive new patient appointments are 2 hours in length. Ideally the practice would have an MD/DO joined by a second MD/DO or mid-level practitioner. Practice location has a vital retirement community that serves a large region as a regional healthcare center.
Typical physician schedule is seven to twelve appointments per day, four days per week. Typical health concerns include hypothyroidism and other hormone imbalances, allergy and sensitivity, environmental toxicity including chemicals and heavy metals, digestive problems, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer, neurological disease, arthritis, osteoporosis, infectious illnesses, insomnia, aging and mental/emotional imbalances. Patients seeking care at this practice are attuned with Integrative Medicine, seeking a second opinion or have often sought treatment in mainstream medicine without satisfactory results or are seeking interventions with fewer side effects as well as identification of the root causes and contributors of their health concerns. New patients find us by word of mouth, referrals from established patients, internet searches as well as referrals from local healthcare practitioners.
The ideal candidate would be a family practice MD/DO with three or more years of full-time clinical practice experience in Integrative Medicine as well as have a friendly, professional demeanor, excellent communication skills and judgment, like people and enjoy practicing medicine and researching safe and effective solutions for their patients’ health concerns.
