Functional Nutritionist

Job Overview:
We are a 100% virtual, tech-forward Functional Medicine Practice seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Functional Nutritionist/Coach to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert nutritional guidance and health coaching to our patients through virtual consultations. You will be responsible for creating personalized nutrition plans, offering support and motivation, and helping patients achieve their health and wellness goals.

This role also has the unique opportunity to act as a patient navigator, helping patients work through their treatment timeline with regular check-ins, opportunities for support, and being a liaison to the practitioners. On the creative side, there will also be room for this person to have a key hand in program development and patient experience as much as possible and as bandwidth allows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct virtual consultations with patients to assess their health, dietary habits, and wellness goals.
• Develop individualized dietary recommendations based on patient needs, preferences, and practitioner oversight.
• Provide ongoing support, motivation, and accountability to patients through regular follow-up appointments.
• Educate patients on the principles of healthy eating, lifestyle changes, and holistic wellness.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
• Act as a liaison for patient and practitioner between appointments to facilitate a successful treatment journey.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition research and trends to provide evidence-based advice.
• Collaborate with other health professionals as needed to support comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• When possible, contribute to blog content, email drafting, program and content development, social media support, and other projects as they present themselves and are deemed appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) or Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) certification.
• Proven experience as a Functional Nutritionist, preferably in a virtual setting.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary planning, and holistic and functional health principles.
• Empathetic, patient, and supportive approach to patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player, self-motivated, “batteries included.”
• Ability to motivate and inspire patients to achieve their health goals.
• Tech-savvy with experience utilizing multiple technologies within a healthcare setting.
• Proficient in using virtual communication tools and health-tracking software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Functional Nutrition and/or coaching certification (IFM, ADAPT, IIN, NTP, etc).
• Licenses in multiple states.
• Health Coach certification.
• Ability to elevate patient care through the balanced and ethical use of AI.
• Experience in Cerbo EMR system.
